Coach Scott Mueller

Head Coach Scott Mueller

Head Coach, Scott Mueller started his coaching career as an “Aggie Swim Camp coach”, and went on to assist the Men’s Team at Texas A&M working with the distance, mid-distance and sprint groups during his fifth year. After that, he coached a YMCA Masters Team in Austin Texas. For the past year, he has been coaching for Ozaukee Aquatics, in Mequon, WI.

As a coach, Scott draws from his personal experiences in the pool. He started his career as a competitive swimmer at the age of six. Collecting many team & state records, and Top 16 rankings along the way, he knows the hard work and dedication it takes each and every day. A graduate of Homestead High School, Coach Scott led the Highlanders to multiple team state titles and individual state titles of his own in the 200 IM and 100 free. Attaining All-American status in 1999 & 2000, was the Wisconsin State Division I Swimmer of the Year in 2000, a Junior National Champion in the 400 IM in the spring of 2000 and a Senior National Qualifier in 2000.

Coach Scott went on to swim for Texas A&M University. He was a three time All-American, a Big 12 champion (400 IM), and held multiple school records. He qualified for Olympic Trials in 2004 in the 200 IM, attained a world ranking in the 400 IM and graduated with a degree in Finance.

When not coaching, Scott likes to get in a round of golf, or head to Northern Wisconsin for in a little fishing.

Coach Scott believes that many of life’s lessons can be taught in the pool, besides becoming the best possible swimmer that you can be. Keeping it fun, yet challenging on each level is a philosophy that he strives to attain each day on the deck.

Coach Jen

Jen is the newest member of our Menomonee Falls Swim Club family where she has a blast coaching the Gold Novice group!  During the day, she works as a Spanish teacher at Germantown High School teaching Spanish 2 and 4.  After a long day of teaching Spanish she enthusiastically anticipates working with her new swimmers!                                                                                                            Coach Jen started swimming competitively at 9 years old for a smaller local swim club called West Allis Swim Club. She quickly outgrew that program and joined New Berlin Swim Club where she became a State Champion and still currently holds the 13-14 age group record for the 200 Medley Relay Team.

Jen attended West Allis Nathan Hale High School where she was a 4 year letter winner.  In High School she was named Swimmer of the Year and Most Valuable Swimmer all 4 years by the head coach.  She also still holds the school records in the 100 Butterfly and 200 Individual Medley events.   Coach Jen made the decision not to swim her freshman year of college and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh; however she missed the sport and the camaraderie of teammates and decided to swim her sophomore year while continuing to work as a student in the University Honors Program.  Joining the team after two years off from swimming, Jen became a four-year letter winner and was named to the traveling team all four years (1998 -2002).  Her sophomore year on the team (1999-2000), Jen was named “most improved” by her teammates. Her senior year on the team (2001-2002), her teammates named her the “hardest worker.”  Jen graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 2002 with a B.A. in Spanish.  Jen started her coaching career while in graduate school at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 2003.  She worked as the assistant coach for the Milwaukee Hamilton High School girls swim teams helping beginning swimmers improve their technique.  Jen coached for Hamilton for 3 seasons and in 2004 started coaching with the Southwest Aquatic Team (SWAT).  She coached at multiple levels, primarily focusing on beginning swimmers and assisting with the state team when the end of the season came around. At the same time she graduated from UWM and completed the Teacher Certification Program.

Coach Jodie Graunke

Coach Jodie Graunke

Hi, I am honored to be the newest member of the MFSC coaching staff. I’ll be working primarily with the Silver Novice group. Outside the pool, I enjoy spending my time with my husband, Scott, my swimming daughter, Dana, and our dog Jessi. I committed thirteen years of my life to competitive swimming in Madison and Green Bay. Some highlights of my swimming career were: a Big Eight Conference record in the 100 breaststroke, 4 years of qualifying for the division 1 state championship and a swimming scholarship to the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. Currently, I work at MacArthur Elementary School in Germantown as the Technology Technician. I have enjoyed spending the last 10 years working with children and the world of ever changing technology. I believe my passion for competitive swimming and love of working with children will provide a positive impact on the club.
